Causeway Coast and Glens Tourism Experience Development Programme
Help and support to develop new tourism activities and experiences.
The programme is open to providers with no, limited or advanced knowledge of the tourism industry. It seeks to introduce fresh experiences to bring to the marketplace.
Programme criteria:
- Providers/businesses must have a registered address in the Borough.
- Those taking part must attend and complete all modules of the programme.
- Providers/businesses must be prepared to proactively promote their new experience after the programme and work collaboratively with the Destination Tourism Team.
- There must be no obstacles eg the experience cannot be dependent on capital investment or the development of infrastructure.
- The experience that emerges from this programme must be a brand-new tourism experience for the Borough ie not currently available for sale and with a view to becoming a long-term, regularly available, established experience.
Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is embarking on a new tourism experience development programme to further cement the Borough’s position as a leading tourism destination.
Expressions of interest are being invited for the Tourism Experience Development Programme from those who have a fledgling idea that could develop into a new tourism experience, attracting local, national and international visitors to the borough.
These experiences can encompass diverse themes including Culture, Heritage and the Arts, Adventure and Activities, Health and Wellness, or Food and Drink.
Information session
Interested parties are invited to attend an online information session on Monday 18 November 2024, from 4:30pm to 6pm, to find out more about the programme and how they might be supported to develop their tourism experiences.
Expressions of interest for the programme will close at 5pm on Thursday 7 November 2024.
