Green Adaptation Programme

Summary:

Programme supporting local businesses to reduce their carbon emissions and adopt sustainable practices, includes workshops, mentoring sessions and the creation of a Carbon Footprint Certificate and Action Plan.

Eligibility criteria:

The Green Adaptation Programme is open to SMEs located in the Ards and North Down Borough Council region.

To qualify, businesses must be:

  • an sme - 10 to 49 employees
  • a single location entity
  • willing to participate in workshops and mentoring sessions, and engage with the Carbonfit platform

The Green Adaptation Programme (GAP) is a fully funded initiative (worth £2,450) launched by Ards and North Down Borough Council, in partnership with Carbonfit, aimed at supporting local SMEs in reducing their carbon emissions and adopting sustainable practices.

The programme is designed to equip businesses with the tools, knowledge, and support to achieve sustainability goals and thrive in a greener economy.

  • 12-month fully funded access to Carbonfit Carbon Accounting Platform
  • tailored carbon reduction strategies
  • workshops and one-on-one mentoring
  • energy efficiency improvements
  • personalised sustainability plans

A significant benefit to GAP participant enterprises is the 12-month membership to the Carbonfit Carbon Accounting Platform to include the Baseline pack and working towards the Carbon Essentials pack.

The deadline for applications is Friday 24 January 2025.
