Green Support Scheme

Summary:

Grants and technical support to help businesses and social enterprises implement sustainable practices.

Eligibility criteria:

This programme is open to businesses and social enterprises in the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council area.

Additional information:

The Green Support Scheme supports local businesses and social enterprises to implement sustainable practices, reduce carbon emissions, and create a bespoke Carbon Reduction Action Plan.

Through this programme, businesses and social enterprises will receive:

  • technical support to help reduce their carbon footprint
  • grant to help fund energy-efficient technologies and green initiatives
  • guidance on integrating energy-efficient technologies and practices
  • assistance with funding opportunities for green initiatives
  • improved environmental impact and potential cost savings

Stage 1 Technical Assistance

Businesses and social enterprises will receive technical support to develop a Carbon Reduction Action Plan (CRP).

If successful at this stage, an industry expert will help them identify targeted interventions to reduce their carbon emissions and energy bills.

Stage 2 Competitive Grant

A grant aid will be available later in the year to help finance some of the interventions identified in the CRP (up to the value of £5,000 at a 70% intervention rate).

How to apply

There is funding available to support up to 50 businesses, and applications will be assessed on a first come, first served basis.

Applications are now open for Stage 1 of the scheme. Stage 2 will open in Autumn 2025.
