MEANZ Business

Summary:

This programme provides knowledge and expertise to businesses to help them achieve a high level of Net Zero readiness.

Eligibility criteria:

The programme is open to companies based in the Borough of Mid and East Antrim (excluding farming, retail, and hospitality sectors).

Additional information:

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is one of only three projects to secure funding under the Fast Followers awards (part of the Innovate UK Net Zero Living Programme tasked to deliver a two-year programme until 30 June 2025) for the Mid and East Antrim's Net Zero Business (MEANZ Business) project.

The MEANZ Business project provides an additional staff resource and full programme of activity to Mid and East Antrim Borough Council which includes social, economic and technical support which will allow Council to build on recent and ongoing investments, maximise current opportunities, create a pathway to net zero and continue to innovate and inform others on a place-based sub-regional research test-bed model approach.

The MEANZ Business project allows businesses to achieve a higher level of net zero readiness and increased capacity, helping to realise organisational sustainability targets faster and support the national transition towards net zero. 

The project includes delivery of a tailored programme of engagement, support and dissemination on net zero to a range of stakeholders, with a focus on targeting c400 relevant businesses in the Borough (excluding farming, retail and hospitality sectors).
