National Lottery Awards for All Northern Ireland

Summary:

The National Lottery Awards for All Northern Ireland provides funding from £300 to £20,000 to support community-led projects for up to two years.

Eligibility criteria:

Organisations can apply if they are a:

  • voluntary or community organisation
  • registered charity
  • constituted group or club
  • not-for-profit company or Community Interest Company
  • school (as long as the project is not within school hours or considered part of the curriculum and has wider community benefit)
  • statutory body (including town, parish and community council)

Groups with smaller incomes are more likely to be funded.

Due to high demand, organisations that have a large annual income might not be able to get funding.

There must be at least two board or committee members who are not related.

Who cannot apply:

  • individuals or sole traders
  • organisations based outside the UK
  • companies that can pay profits to directors, shareholders, or members, including companies limited by shares
  • organisations who have already received £20,000 from Awards for All in the past 12 months
  • organisations that have an ongoing application for the same project awaiting a decision
  • organisations applying on behalf of another organisation this includes applications written by private businesses or consultants.

  • improve the places and spaces that matter to communities
  • help more people to reach their potential, by supporting them at the earliest possible stage
  • support people, communities and organisations facing more demands and challenges because of the cost-of-living crisis

The scheme can fund:

  • equipment
  • one-off events
  • staff costs
  • training costs
  • transport
  • utilities
  • running costs
  • volunteer expenses
  • small land or building projects
