Women Returners Employment Programme
Through this programme, employers are supported by a dedicated mentor in addressing knowledge gaps and the creation of job opportunities.
Businesses must be located in the Mid Ulster District Council area.
The fully funded Women Returners Programme supports local businesses through a bespoke programme designed to improve their understanding of flexible work policies, to raise awareness of the benefits of tapping into an under-utilised and capable labour pool, and to support these companies through an employability programme that will result in a number of suitable job opportunities being identified.
A dedicated mentor will:
- Support employers in the creation of job opportunities that are innovative in approach to address skills shortages through adaptation to make jobs more accessible.
- Address employer knowledge gaps and misperceptions about the benefits of implementing flexible work policies.
- Inform employers and participants on the availability and eligibility criteria for existing upskilling/reskilling programmes.
- Work with the employers to match the right roles to the right potential candidates.
- Support the employers through the recruitment process to ensure all employers successfully recruit and fill their vacant positions.
All participating employers can also avail of additional light touch mentoring and support for up to six months post-employment.
