Support for UK video game business leaders
Ukie, the UK's trade association for the games and interactive entertainment industry, has launched its 2024 Video Games Growth Programme with Tencent Games.
This business accelerator will help 40 UK video game developers grow their businesses through coaching, skills training, and expert advice.
Who is this programme for?
The programme targets founders, CEOs, and leaders of UK video games development companies. Ukie will select 20 participants for the Scale Up Programme and 20 for the Accelerator Programme, creating a community of industry leaders.
Accelerator
The Accelerator is to support businesses that have released their first game or are due to release within the next 12 months. You should be looking to improve business skills and have a growth mindset.
Scale Up
The Scale Up is looking to support businesses that have had recent proven success with shipping one or more games, have generated revenue in the previous 12 months and are planning to scale up operations.
What does the programme offer?
The Video Games Growth Programme offers successful applicants over 40 hours of guidance on:
- business strategy
- funding
- finance
- business models
- people management
- pitching
- global expansion
Participants will also benefit from peer learning and networking opportunities to help them sustain growth.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on 14 June 2024.
