Aiming to create up to 4,000 high-quality jobs in Northern Ireland, Queen's University's programme is part of the Belfast Region City Deal

Queen's University is starting a £230 million innovation program as part of the Belfast Region City Deal. This initiative is expected to create up to 4,000 quality jobs in Northern Ireland.

The UK Government and the Northern Ireland Executive are providing £170 million to support this programme.

Innovation Centres

The three innovation centres - Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre, Momentum One Zero, and iREACH Health - will work to promote innovation, benefiting the economy and society. They will:

  • serve as catalysts for start-ups
  • provide entrepreneurs with resources to launch their ideas
  • assist entrepreneurs in gaining a competitive edge
  • enhance regional productivity
