Funding for AI supply chain projects

Innovate UK has launched a new grant competition, offering up to £2 million for projects that use artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance supply chain efficiency and productivity.

This funding is part of the BridgeAI programme(link is external).

To be eligible, projects must develop AI solutions that improve data sharing between micro, small and medium-sized businesses and large organisations.

Projects should benefit at least two of the three BridgeAI target sectors:

  • transport and logistics
  • agriculture and food processing
  • construction

Additionally, proposals must demonstrate responsible and trustworthy AI principles and include a clear monetisation strategy for data sharing. The output of these projects must be in the form of a demonstrator, benefiting efficiency in supply chains and improving business decisions at firm level.

Projects should be at a minimum technology readiness level of 6. The funding will cover feasibility studies, industrial research, and experimental development, as defined in the guidance on categories of research(link is external).
