Call for local food producers to join tourism event
Opportunity for local food and drink producers
Tourism Northern Ireland is calling for expressions of interest from local food and drink businesses to take part in a new event aimed at boosting the region's tourism sector.
The event will showcase unique, local food and drink products to hotels, attractions, venues, and food and drink outlets, promoting Northern Ireland's produce to the tourism and hospitality industries.
With food and drink accounting for over 35% of all tourism spend - around £420 million of the £1.2 billion tourism economy - the event offers a valuable opportunity for local producers to gain exposure and build connections within the sector.
Who should apply?
The initiative is open to businesses offering distinctive products with compelling stories, focusing on local sourcing, sustainability, and quality. Producers should be able to engage through tastings, samples, and high-quality product interpretation.
Submit your expression of interest by 5pm on 31 January 2025.
Please note that this callout will help Tourism NI assess the demand for hosting such an event. Completing an expression of interest does not guarantee participation. If demand exceeds available places, a selection criteria will be applied.
