Creative Catalyst 2024
Apply for funding of up to £50,000 with a package of tailored support to grow your business
Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, is investing up to £10 million in innovation projects as part of the Creative Catalyst.
The competition aims to support the growth of innovative businesses across the sector by providing a package of targeted and continuous support for projects that will propel business growth plans.
Proposals must:
- be innovative
- be from or support the creative industries in the UK
- address an industry challenge
- create a new revenue stream, for example, new products, services or IP
- demonstrate impact on the growth plans of your business within the next 12 months
- have total project costs and grant funding request of no more than £50,000
Innovate UK encourages proposals that can demonstrate benefit to the wider creative industries sector, especially those that are underrepresented in innovation, for example:
- architecture
- crafts
- photography
- publishing
- radio
This list is not exhaustive and innovations from across the creative industries are welcome.
The deadline for applications to the Creative Catalyst competition is 6 March 2024.

During the competition, Innovate UK's Immersive Tech Network will host two online grant writing workshops on 6 February and 28 February 2024, allowing participants to improve their grant proposal skills.
