AI solutions to develop AI competencies in key sectors

Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, is offering up to £2 million in grants through its BridgeAI programme. The competition aims to develop responsible and ethical artificial intelligence (AI) personalised learning solutions to enhance AI skills in key sectors:

  • construction
  • transport and logistics
  • creative industries
  • agriculture and food processing

Businesses can apply for grants between £50,000 and £100,000 for projects lasting six to ten months. Eligible projects should:

  • support AI competency development responsibly within the specified sectors
  • use evidence-based teaching methods and align with industry standards
  • focus on upskilling or reskilling the existing workforce
  • identify an end user to pilot the solution

Projects must start by 1 June 2025 and be completed by 31 March 2026. All work must take place in the UK, and the outcomes should benefit the UK economy.

Applications close on 29 January 2025 at 11:00am.
