Funding competition for fusion industry challenges

Up to £2.8 million is available for fusion energy solutions

The UK Atomic Energy Authority is offering funding for innovative solutions to address key challenges in the fusion energy sector.

Through the Contracts for Innovation funding mechanism, up to £2.8 million (inclusive of VAT) will be allocated to projects focused on two priority areas:

• Novel Concepts for Robust Diagnostics Systems
• Robust Components for Sensing and Control

The competition will support multiple projects, with each eligible project able to receive up to £250,000 in funding. Projects must be delivered by August 2025.
