Funding is available for innovative solutions in healthcare, circular economy, agriculture and more

Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) competitions provide innovative solutions to challenges faced by the public sector. This can lead to better public services and improved efficiency and effectiveness.

Competitions are open to all eligible organisations that can demonstrate a route to market for their solution. If successful, you will receive a procurement contract to deliver the proposed activity.

The following SBRI opportunities are currently open to applications:

SBRI: Enhancing medical supply chain resilience with drones

Organisations can apply for a share of £500,000 for projects that will enhance the understanding of how drone solutions can help improve resilience in healthcare supply chains, including NHS logistics.

SBRI: Delivering a Net-Zero NHS for a Healthier Future

Organisations can apply for funding for early-stage innovations to accelerate the development of greener innovation towards a more sustainable healthcare system.

SBRI: Pollution from Agriculture Ammonia Emissions

Organisations can apply for a share of £1 million to develop products or services that reduce the volume of harmful pollutants entering the atmosphere as a result of agricultural practices.

SBRI: Plant health innovations for biosecurity

Organisations can apply for a share of up to £800,000 to develop and demonstrate the feasibility of innovative solutions for plant health. This competition aims to accelerate the effective development of innovative solutions, technologies, or practices that enhance plant health and biosecurity activities.
