Funding opportunity for NI female founders
In a bid to empower women-led start-ups, Women in Business and Techstart Ventures have launched the 2024 Female Founders grant competition
Now in its third year, this initiative aims to support innovative business ideas across Northern Ireland.
The grant competition offers a £175,000 prize pool, with five winners set to share the Techstart funding.
Successful applicants will also gain access to valuable business mentorship through the Women in Business mentoring programme.
Who can apply?
The competition is open to diverse ideas from across Northern Ireland's business community. Previous prize-winning ideas ranged from medtech and virtual reality to artificial intelligence.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on 30 April 2024.
A rigorous pitching process will follow in May to shortlist winners who will be invited to the Women in Business All-Island Entrepreneurs Conference on 6 June 2024 to network, learn, and showcase their ventures.

Information session
Women in Business NI is hosting a virtual event on 19 March 2024 to share details on this grant competition, including why and how to get involved.
Participants will also hear from guest speakers and expert advisers to help get their business idea up and running.
