Innovate UK is inviting UK businesses working in artificial intelligence (AI) for smart and land mobility solutions to apply to their Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP).

Through this programme, up to 15 selected UK SMEs will gain access to a comprehensive, market-focused programme in Singapore, designed to enhance their global growth and partnership opportunities. Lasting 9 to 12 months, the programme includes a preparation stage, a tailored five-day visit in Singapore, and a follow-up phase to help businesses build on their gains from the programme.

Focus areas

The programme focuses on AI applications in smart and land mobility, including:

  • intelligent traffic management
  • predictive maintenance
  • multimodal transportation
  • AI-driven productivity tools for the transport sector

Applications are open to all UK SMEs involved in AI for smart and land mobility, with a preference for solutions that do not focus on autonomous vehicle technology or robotics.

With a global reputation as a digital innovation hub, Singapore offers the ideal environment for AI and smart mobility development. The city-state's advanced infrastructure, pro-innovation regulatory framework, and strong digital capabilities make it an attractive gateway to Asia.

Innovate UK and Singapore have built a robust co-innovation partnership, with recent initiatives including a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Enterprise Singapore to support collaborative R&D projects.
