Trade Remedies Authority launches investigation into potential dumping of aluminium extrusions
The Trade Remedies Authority has launched an investigation into alleged dumping of aluminium extrusion products on the UK market.
What are aluminium extrusions?
Aluminium extrusions are commonly used in the manufacture of heavy equipment, such as aerospace components and in infrastructure projects like mining, oil and gas and chemical and refinery equipment. They can also be found in windows, doors and railings, cars, buses and trains, and air conditioners, personal watercraft and medical equipment.
What is dumping?
Dumping is when a product(s) are exported at a price less than their normal value, generally meaning they are exported for less than they are sold in the domestic market. This can have implications for producers and importers of the products concerned.
