Innovate UK BridgeAI: AI governance webinar
Innovate UK BridgeAI and The Alan Turing Institute are hosting an AI governance webinar on 31 January 2024
Register for this webinar to gather insights into the latest developments of the UK artificial intelligence (AI) governance ecosystem, evolving government initiatives, and to gain a deeper understanding of the role of standards and assurance techniques in AI regulation.
How is the AI governance changing?
The UK government's National AI Strategy, introduced in September 2021, aims to create rules for AI that promote growth, build public trust, and position the UK as a global AI leader.
To achieve these goals, the government has taken significant steps, including:
- establishing the AI Standards Hub in October 2022
- releasing a white paper on AI regulation in March 2023
Following the white paper, a public consultation took place, and the government is expected to respond in January. More recently, the AI Safety Summit brought global leaders together, leading to the announcement of the Artificial Intelligence Safety Institute.
In the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape, UK businesses must grasp the implications and promptly adapt to regulatory changes.
Why attend?
The webinar will give you a chance to decode the National AI strategy and hear directly from experts shaping the AI governance ecosystem.
You will get key takeaways from the recent AI Safety Summit, details on the future outlook on AI governance in the UK, including a sneak peek into upcoming events until March 2024.
There will also be a chance to engage in an interactive Q&A with the representatives from the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and the wider BridgeAI community.
The deadline to register for this event is 29 January 2024.
