£520 million fund now open for applications

The Life Sciences Innovative Manufacturing Fund (LSIMF) is offering £520 million in capital grants to support manufacturing projects in medicines, diagnostics, and MedTech. This initiative aims to strengthen the UK’s health resilience, drive innovation, and create high-skill jobs.

Who can apply?

Eligible projects must focus on manufacturing human medicines, medical diagnostics, or MedTech products, with a minimum project value of £8 million. Grants typically cover 10 to 20% of total project costs.

The fund is open to UK-registered businesses with a proven track record in medicine or medical device production. Applicants must provide two years of audited accounts and demonstrate the financial viability of their project.

How to apply

Applications for the LSIMF open quarterly.

The next round runs from 1 to 28 February 2025, closing at midday.

Additional rounds will open in May and August 2025, continuing quarterly until all funding is allocated. To avoid delays, submit your Expression of Interest (EOI) at least one week before the application deadline.
