Hope Matters in the Workplace is a new evidence-based programme developed by RESILIO, a registered charity in Northern Ireland. It is based on research that suggests ‘hope is a teachable skill’.
Londonderry Chamber is hosting an interactive workshop on 16 February 2024 to introduce you to:
- the science and evidence of hope
- why it is worth investing in
- how your workplace could grow and maintain hope, optimism and resilience during challenging times
The workshop will take place in the Londonderry Chamber of Commerce Boardroom, 16 Bishop Street, Derry~Londonderry, BT48 6PW.
It will explore how:
- hope accounts for 14% of productivity in the workplace more than intelligence, optimism or self-efficacy
- hopeful individuals are resilient and exhibit enthusiasm, involvement and commitment in the workplace
- hope is considered an important contribution to the psychological well-being of individuals
The workshop organisers will also share information on an exciting new initiative to activate Derry and Strabane District Council to become the very first District of Hope.
