NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme: cohort 8
Do you have a great innovative idea to improve healthcare? Applications for cohort 8 will open on 2 October and close on 29 October 2023
The Clinical Entrepreneur Programme (CEP), delivered by Anglia Ruskin University, is a workforce development programme open to clinical and non-clinical NHS staff that allows them to develop and scale their innovative ideas.
Ideas should benefit patients, staff and the wider health service, and should provide innovative solutions to the challenges facing the NHS.
Participation in the programme is free, lasts 12 months and will enable you to learn about all aspects of building a start-up or developing an entrepreneurial idea.
The programme is delivered through:
- learning - including webinars, workshops and pit stop events
- mentoring - combined with 1to1 clinics and business planning sessions
- opportunities - including international trips, company days and networking
- community support - via a dedicated team and access to an online hub
In addition to this, the programme includes customer matching, application and bid support, and access to a network of like-minded creative thinkers, entrepreneurs and industry experts.
Eligibility
The programme is open to all NHS workforce staff and those providing NHS services, such as GPs, pharmacists, dentists, etc. Healthcare innovators in Northern Ireland are welcome to apply.
In NI, the programme will be delivered in partnership with the Health Innovation Research Alliance Northern Ireland and Invest Northern Ireland .
