Northern Ireland Electrical Shock Survey

Survey gathering feedback to gain a better understanding of electric shocks and incident reporting in the workplace

As part of the Electrical Training Trust (ETT) ‘Save Our Sparks’ NI campaign, the charity is asking for help from electrical workers to understand electric shocks and incident reporting at work in Northern Ireland.

Data collected from the survey will be summarised in a report that aims to:

  • Provide insight into reporting behaviour - ETT wants to understand why electric shocks often go unreported to identify ways of encouraging reporting and transparency.
  • Develop preventive measures - Your feedback will help ETT develop improved safety measures to reduce the frequency of electric shocks. This may include revised safety guidelines, training programmes, and awareness initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of safety – The industry must work together to support a positive safety culture to prevent electric shock incidents.

You can complete the survey without providing your name or contact details. Alternatively, you can submit your contact information to receive a copy of the survey findings and be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win a £50 Amazon gift card.

Even if you provide your contact details, all survey responses will be analysed collectively, and all respondents will remain anonymous in the final report.

The survey should take no longer than five to ten minutes to complete.

The closing date is Friday 26 July 2024.
