UK railway suppliers are invited to apply to join a rail trade mission to Portugal

UK railway suppliers are invited to sign up to join a Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and Railway Industry Association (RIA) rail trade mission to Portugal, in partnership with PRP (the Portuguese Railway Platform).

The trade mission will take place in Lisbon and Porto from 9 – 12 April 2024.

The programme will include meetings, briefings, visits and a networking event with key clients and local organisations as outlined in the draft programme.

Registration and Eligibility

The trade mission will take place from 9 – 12 April 2024. Find further information and register for the rail trade mission.

The event is open to all UK registered companies, a maximum of two delegates per company.

Applications are open until Monday 25 March, delegates will then be informed of their place on the mission, unless the minimum threshold of ten companies is reached beforehand.

Costs and travel

  • Limited to two delegates per company limit, second delegate is at no cost.
  • Mission delegates will need to cover their own travel and subsistence costs including onward travels to Porto by rail.
  • Participation in the trade mission will cost £350 + VAT. Payment will be invoiced once signed up.
