The Smart Manufacturing Data Hub (SMDH) is running a series of free, in-person workshops for Northern Ireland businesses to explore their range of services, digital tools, and funding opportunities.

The workshops will take place across four locations:

Accelerating digital transformation and funding advice workshop

Where: Burrendale Hotel Country Club & Spa, Newcastle

Digital transformation and funding advice: NI manufacturer workshop
When: 29 February 2024
Where: South West College, Enniskillen, Skills CREST Centre

Digital transformation: B2B industry solutions and funding advice
When: 19 March 2024
Where: Catalyst Innovation Centre, Belfast

Practical IoT solutions, digital transformation and funding advice workshop
When: 26 March 2024
Where: Ulster University, Coleraine Campus

Led by Ulster University and funded by Innovate UK, the SMDH provides manufacturers with free support to capture, visualise, analyse, and unlock value from their manufacturing data.

SMDH participants can access a range of industry 4.0 solutions including IoT sensors, energy dashboards, 3D factory simulation, data science expertise, and other learning resources.

Businesses who work with SMDH are eligible to apply for grant funding of up to £315,000, to allow for further development of digital technology in their factory. There are also several opportunities to undertake a fully funded project with an industrial solution provider.
