Support scheme for clean energy start-ups aimed at accelerating the transition to an affordable net zero energy industry

The Net Zero Technology Centre (NZTC) has launched the Clean Energy Accelerator, an intensive 15-week programme for 12 innovative clean energy start-ups with clear potential to significantly accelerate the transition to an affordable net zero energy industry.

NZTC is looking for diverse, innovative start-ups that will pave the way in clean energy with bold ideas that can help unlock the next generation of net zero technologies.

The technology focus areas for the programme are:

  • renewable energy technologies, hydrogen, other clean fuels and green chemicals
  • Carbon Capture, Usage and Storage
  • digitalisation
  • oil and gas emissions reduction technologies

Start-ups on the programme will receive a grant of up £100,000 and expert support from NZTC delivery partners and mentors. They will also have access to the TechX Growth co-working space in Aberdeen and further business support for two years post-graduation.
