Call for ideas for brand new tourism experiences to attract local, national and international visitors

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council is embarking on a new initiative that will help develop new tourism ideas and cement the borough’s position as a leading tourism destination.

Expressions of interest are being invited for the Tourism Experience Development Programme from those who have a fledgling idea that could develop into a new tourism experience, attracting local, national and international visitors to the borough.

Ideas could include a focus on music, heritage, outdoor adventure and activities, nature, wellness or food and drink.

Programme criteria

The programme is open to providers with no, limited or advanced knowledge of the tourism industry.

This includes:

  • providers/businesses that have never worked in tourism, with the potential to deliver a compelling tourism experience
  • an existing provider/business (already known to Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council) that wishes to develop new experiences

Information session

Interested parties are invited to attend an online information session on Tuesday 17 September 2024, from 6:30pm to 7:45pm, to find out more about the initiative and how they might be supported.

Expressions of interest will close at 5pm on Wednesday 11 September 2024.
